ABOUT US

Our Pastor
Pastor Jeremy Glowicki was raised in Michigan. He pursued his pre-seminary education at Northwestern College in Watertown, Wisconsin. He graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis on Biblical languages. He completed his studies at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon Wisconsin, graduating in 1999 with a Masters of Divinity degree. During his time at the Seminary he married Debbie Ciriacks and the two quickly moved to Marinette Wisconsin where Pastor Glowicki did his intern year at Trinity Lutheran Church. Pastor Glowicki was assigned to an exploratory restart mission congregation in Portland Maine. He served the saints there for three years until accepting a call to St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in St. Paul MN. He served the saints there for 8 years before coming to Jordan in 2012.
The Lord has blessed him and his wife with four children: Taylor, Josiah, Morgan, and Alycin.
Our Worship
When you come through our doors you'll be in our gathering area. Members of St. Pauls and our guests visit before entering the sanctuary for worship.

Our Beliefs
We are a Biblical church giving God's word first place in our faith and life.
We are a Lutheran church that proclaims forgiveness for all through Jesus Christ.
We are a Christian church that gathers to praise God, to be strengthened by his word, and to reach out to those around us in Christian love.
Our History
St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church has served the Jordan community since 1867, when a group of Lutherans who had settled in the area formed a congregation under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Philipp Schmidt.

Our Denomination
St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church is part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). The WELS, characterized as theologically conservative, is the third largest Lutheran church body in America. With national offices in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, WELS began in 1850 when three German pastors met in Milwaukee. Today, it has grown to over 1200 congregations in North America. It has over 400,000 baptized members, which includes over 300,000 communicants, served by over 1000 pastors.

The synod operates four ministerial education schools: Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Mequon, Wisconsin; Martin Luther College, New Ulm, Minnesota; Luther Preparatory School, Watertown, Wisconsin; and Michigan Lutheran Seminary, Saginaw, Michigan.
As members of the WELS, we share with our fellow believers in our synod's stated mission:

As men, women, and children united in faith and worship by the Word of God, the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod exists to make disciples throughout the world for time and for eternity, using the gospel in word and sacrament to win the lost for Christ and to nurture believers for lives of Christian service, all to the glory of God.
