St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church
About us
St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church has served the Jordan community since 1867 when a group of Lutherans who had settled in the area formed a congregation under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Philipp Schmidt.
Over the years the Lord has blessed the congregation and we are still serving the people of Jordan with God's Word and the Sacraments. God's Word is our only source of doctrine and practice. We also subscribe to the Book of Concord of 1580 which contains the 3 ecumenical creeds, the unaltered Augsburg Confession of 1530, the Apology of the Augsburg Confession, Luther's Large and Small Catechisms, The Tretise on the Power and Primacy of the Pope, and the Formula of Concord. These confessions are a correct exposition of the doctrines of Sripture.
We belong to the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. To learn more about what we believe and teach click here.
